Digital Scale

do you have to be 18 to return a broken digital scale through the mail back to a company?
A couple days ago my friends bought me a scale but it broke
im only 17 and you have to be 18 to buy pocket digital scales.
So my question is, do u you to be 18 to return it back to the company?
I would have to send it in the mail, so would i get denyed at the post office?
As long as the contents of your package aren’t dangerous, or contaminated with some sort of illegal substance, you should have no problem with the Post Office. If you need to describe the contents for insurance purposes, just call it “electronic measurement equipment”.
